Miről szól a projekt?

My Austria is a changing touring exhibition that is accompanied by its producers and the people shown in the pictures. The exhibition was designed in Salzburg as part of the “Austrian Thinking Year” in 2005, when a series of events commemorating sixty years of the Second Republic, fifty years of the Austrian State Treaty and ten years’ membership of the EU took place. The exhibition focuses on twenty people who have experienced immigration and explores their individual biographies as part of Austria’s past and the present. The socio-photographic portraits are exhibited alongside photographs taken by those portrayed themselves and are complemented by collages. After the SozialMarie prize was awarded, the organisers were able to produce a second exhibition. Since 2007, the exhibition has been shown in more than twenty locations in Austria, including some that are a long way from Salzburg.
