O čem projekt je?

InDaHouse Hungary has built a Volunteer and Children Centre with the help of social alliance, financed mainly from donations and using voluntary work in one of the poorest regions of Hungary, in a village of 425 inhabitants, 210 kilometres away from the capital. Since the Centre is built we’ve had a constant base and stable background for the work we have been doing since 2014 reducing child poverty and social exclusion.

Výzva

Marginalised families and children of northeast Hungary are isolated from educational resources and opportunities. Rural schools are underfunded with little to no resources for social support; children and adolescents risk ending their education.

Myšlenka

Az én házam a te házad (“My House Is Your House”) under the InDaHouse Association of Hungary created and built a volunteer and children’s centre to alleviate child poverty in one of the poorest regions of Hungary. Volunteers and community members tutor and mentor the children in the village of Pere. Az én házam a te házad also holds weekly personalised support sessions in schools.

Aktéři

Az én házam a te házad works with the community and schools of Pere. We also work with corporate teams and individuals as project sponsors and volunteers. Parents are also involved, two fathers with children in the programme drive children from nearby villages to classes at the school.

Dopad

The volunteer and children’s centre is built from the trust and cooperation of the local community. Az én házam a te házad has reached 100 children from the surrounding villages. Volunteers can stay in the guest house during the weekends; they can also hold workshops for the children in our program.

Přesah

The project models of fundraising, volunteer recruitment and work can be implemented anywhere. Any organization who is committed and dedicated can carry out a similar project.
