Thrift Store ´STARA ROBA, NOVA RABA´

Project “Stara roba, nova raba” is first Slovenian thrift store which was established by non-governmental association for help and self-help of homeless people Kings of the Street. Thrift store is social enterprise which is devoted to social and environmental causes. Social enterprise enables people with the experience of homelessness and social exclusion to gain work experiences, widen their social network, develop their skills and gain financial stability and control over their lives. Thrift store also enables people with lower income and others to buy things by affordable prices and at the same time develop and support environmental and social responsibility.
